Created in 2016, Collective Future has worked to build a bench of Black leaders who are prepared for legislative and executive power. Collective Future has trained Black staffers and advisors in a necessary effort to help advance progressive agendas. In 2017, Collective Future’s Black Campaign School trained over 1,000 Black candidates and political operatives for office. Over the next three years, The Collective supported Three Point Strategies as they trained more than 2,000 Black leaders on how to effectively run and win authentically Black campaigns rooted in progressive policies that advance social, racial, and economic justice.

Collective Future continues to launch a series of events centered around cultivating Black elected officials and policy staffers throughout government agencies, legislative bodies, think tanks, and advocacy organizations to develop progressive policies that will advance the Black community forward. Through an application process, Collective Future will identify an inaugural cohort of 300 changemakers that will gather virtually and in person to receive guidance on pressing policy matters, explore best practices in advancing progressive legislation as well as build and maintain relationships with other Black leaders across the country.
